Hello, annyong, hola, bonjour, hallo, ciao, shalom, fáilte, konnichiwa, saluton, päivää, selamat pagi, and olá!

My name is Carl Scripter! Why did I make this website? Well .. truth be told, it's more out of necessity than passion, you see -- I've had this site up, in various forms, since 1996. At first, it was SUPER COOL to have a personal website (or "homepage"), but in the past few years, homepages have been overrun by the likes of Facebook and YouTube. Being the old curmudgeon that I am, I am going to STICK IT TO THE MAN by making the biggest, most content-laden, feature rich, narcissistic goddamned homepage you've ever seen!

Personal stats: I am currently 33 years, 6 months, and 7 days old (that's 12244 days! EEK!). Professionally, I (hope to) work as a video game store manager, but I also find time for some freelance web development and graphic design on the side. My main interests are computers, video games, electronic music, animation, turntablism, and tacos.

I am a father of a beautiful bubbling bouncing baby boy named Oliver Andrew Scripter.

I love analyzing things, and finding out why stuff .. is. I love soaking in all that life has to offer and giving random, useless advice. My brain is abuzz with questions, and the little time I have here on earth isn't enough to answer them all (but that is not to say that I will not try). OOH, DOUBLE NEGATIVE. I have been officially diagnosed with A.D.H.D. and panic disorder -- but various medications are keeping me in balance.

I'm a big fan of spicy foods, things that make me laugh, prime time television (from the 1980s and 1990s), well directed movies, and cereal.

I enjoy taking photographs and creating all forms of digital art. When I'm not working on my own projects, I like to study fractals and chaos theory, read about time travel, tinker around with 3D modeling, and simply muse at the crazy world in which we live.

I do not like it when people are selfish and self-centered. I believe that the victim mentality has become epidemic in the United States. I think that George W. Bush is an idiot and a liar. I believe that a lot of the world's current problems are caused by over-population. I also believe that the human race may become extinct within the next millennia because of our inability to accept a unified global civilization. In order for our race to survive, we must look into the heavens (and by that, I mean other planets).

It is selfish and small-minded to think that we are the only beings in the universe.
