You're getting close to the top of the lid, and you go to turn the lever back to the off position, but something holds it back -- like maybe it's the suction or something .. but something holds it back, and within a half-second you panic knowing that it's going to spill out the top -- and so you cock that lever back as hard as you can.  But it's too late!  In that mere fraction of a second, the slurpee reached the top of the lid and squirted straight out of the cup and all over the place.  Yeah, it's like that only in your PANTS!">

So .. with the kidlet growing up so fast, I had to come up with some way to protect the beloved <STRONG>ENTERTAINMENT CENTER</STRONG>.  There were only a few criteria:
<UL>
	<LI>Oliver could play around / on the entertainment center without any fear of damage to it or he</LI>
	<LI>Everything be immediately available and accessible w/ our remote controls (both infra-red and BlueTooth</LI>
	<LI>It be strong enough to last many years</LI>
	<LI>See-thru!  Duh!</LI>
</UL>
With that in mind, I made a few trips to the <A HREF="http://www.tonystewart.com" TARGET="_blank">Home Depot</A> and decided that, along with the basics listed above -- it also had to be illuminated in the most gawdy way imaginable.  Maybe soon I will attach a movie (the lights are LEDs that cycle through colors .. it's quite trippy)

I took our old coffee table (compliments of Brendan Knox), and removed all of the drawers.  I then placed sizable wire racks in each of the two copmpartments to hold up our components.<BR /><BR />I then drilled exhaust vents in the back and attached 90mm CPU cooling fans to each side powered by a 300 watt computer power supply.  I had to couple two leads in the main plug on the power supply so it would start up (green wire -> black wire).<BR><BR>All that was missing was the cover, which is two sheets of pre-sized Lexan attached with door hinges.  A few magnets, handles and horrible ugly lights finished the <NOBR>project <IMG SRC="../_images/icon_smiley.gif" WIDTH=14 HEIGHT=12 ALT="" BORDER="0"></NOBR></DIV></TD>
